Function, Privacy and Accessibility

Ironwood places a strong emphasis on functionality. Options such as Zero Sightline doors, transoms, and full-height systems enhance privacy, while multiple mounting configurations, including European style, floor-to-ceiling, headrail braced, and ceiling-hung systems, give designers the flexibility to match both structural needs and aesthetic preferences.

Champion Fabricators: Formica® Build-a-Thon

In addition to their daily work with architects and designers, Ironwood recently earned top honors by winning the Formica® Build-a-Thon, a competition that invited fabricators to design and build a toy box for the charity of their choice using Formica® Laminate. Ironwood’s creative spaceship-and-alien-themed design captured first place, earning them the opportunity to make a lasting impact in their local community.
Ironwood selected the Arlington Boys & Girls Club of Snohomish County as their charity partner, an organization located just down the road from their shop. Along with the toy box, Formica Corporation contributed $1,000 and filled the box with basketballs, soccer balls, footballs, and kickballs – supplies to support the Club’s youth sports leagues, particularly those serving local Indigenous communities north of Seattle.
The donation was unveiled on August 27 during the Club’s summer camp finale, where nearly 100 children took part in the celebration. This Build-a-thon finale highlighted the creativity and generosity of Ironwood Manufacturing, and we were proud to partner with them in bringing joy, energy and opportunity to young people in their community.
