In the recent renovation of the Holte Library in Denmark, Proudlypresent design studio reimagined the space with a focus on durability and design. Key to this transformation was the use of Formica® Laminate, chosen for its robust properties and wide selection of vibrant colours, perfect for creating a welcoming and functional public environment.

With the library spanning 1200m², it was essential to select materials that could withstand heavy use. Formica laminate, known for its strength and resilience, was incorporated throughout the space, ensuring long-lasting surfaces that maintain their appeal over time.

Several unique furniture pieces were crafted with plywood cores and finished with Formica laminates. Highlights include tables featuring F0188 Beaujolais, F0233 Heather, and F2483 Ultramarine, as well as benches and room dividers in F8843 Natural Ash and F8237 Fir. The result is a harmonious blend of colours and textures that enhance the library’s atmosphere.

“We always use colours to create atmosphere in rooms, and Formica Group’s extensive colour palette made it a natural choice for our design. Formica laminate is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly durable, which is essential for a public space like a library.” Christina Widholm from Proudlypresent
